We are pleased to invite you to join an intimate group of discerning participants for our inimitable, private discovery of Naples & Puglia, 8 days and 8 nights, during which we will discover unparalleled archeological and historic sites with experts, and exemplary private palazzi and art collections with the distinguished ownersmany inaccessible to the public—offering a rare opportunity to enjoy meaningful exchanges with our experts and our eminent hosts.

By personal invitation, we will be received by Italian nobility and esteemed members of the Italian cultural elite for private visits, luncheons, receptions and dinners in their exemplary private palazzi and villas to observe some of Europe’s finest masterpieces of architecture, art, interior and garden design, as well as some of the world’s most celebrated archeological sites, listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The ancient port city of Naples’ rich and compelling history dates back nearly 3,000 years and bears the traces of the early Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Normans and the later European powers of Spain and France. Naples owes its artistic vitality and art of living to the proximity of Mount Vesuvius, which two thousand years ago, buried the flourishing city of Pompeii and the nearby resort town of Herculaneum. That passion for life, under the shadow of the volcano, is best expressed in the Neapolitan art and architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries. From the Normans to the Bourbons, the richness of Neapolitan history is in its art and architecture: dramatic Baroque churches, grandiose facades, elaborate staircases, sumptuous residences such as the Royal Palace of Caserta, and astonishing art collections.

The eventful history of Puglia has left a rich artistic and architectural heritage. This unspoiled region of Southern Italy unveils well-preserved Greek remains, as well as sublime cathedrals and fortresses produced by Byzantine and Norman rule; whereas in Lecce, we will see the city display its exceptional Baroque treasures. In Alberobello, we will admire the picturesque architecture of vernacular trulli. The combination of public monuments and exclusive private access to all our carefully-chosen sites will produce a rich and nuanced image of the little-explored and treasure-filled south.

In view of the exclusivity of our program and to assure the full enjoyment of each participant and quality exchanges with our distinguished hosts and experts, the maximum number of participants is set at 15
